Need assistance maintaining your ATV? S&H Farm Supply can help.

At S&H Farm Supply we like our clients to be well informed and to have the best brands on the market. This is why our website provides access to everything from new equipment to parts lookup. As a major provider of ATV sales in the state of Missouri, we also want you to have all of the information you need to keep your four wheeler looking and feeling new.

Take a list at the S&H Farm Supply guide to proper ATV maintenance and keep your ride running for longer.

Change Your Oil Regularly

Just as you would with any other vehicle, your ATV requires regular oil checks to keep it in tip top shape. At S&H Farm Supply, we know the importance of not only having appropriate oil levels, but using the right type of oil for the job. The oil you use will depend on how hard you plan on riding your four wheeler, and what the weather is like in your area. High viscosity oil will have trouble pumping through the engine when the temperature drops, but works wonders at lubricating your machine in the heat of the summer.

Check Your Lugs

We do our best to make sure that each and every machine is in perfect running condition before it leaves the lot. With that being said, not every company with ATV sales will do the same. No matter who you buy from, be sure to check your lugs before taking your new four wheeler for a ride. Loose lugs can cause a wheel to spin off, and could mean an accident is in the future. By tightening each lug individually, and checking their firmness once a month, you can continue to ride without the fear of losing a wheel in transit.

Wash Your Air Cleaner

Whether you’re maintaining four wheelers for kids, or working on an adult ATV ride, air cleaner maintenance is essential. Off-road vehicles are meant to be taken out on wet and muddy trails, and this can be a fun part of the ride, but it can also damage your engine if you aren’t keeping your air cleaner in good condition. This piece of your ATV should be gently removed, inspected for damage, washed using an appropriate cleaning solution, and dried before being replaced.

Keep Your S&H Farm Supply ATV Clean

As mentioned above, four wheelers play hard, so they need a little extra TLC before they are stored for the night. Be sure to thoroughly wash your ride if dust or mud is visible, and spray down your tires. Be careful not to get water on the electrical components of the ATV.
