Polaris ATVs for Fun and Function

If you’re looking for a vehicle that can help you complete chores around the farm, but can also provide you with the fun you’re looking for on the weekend – Polaris may have the right ATV for you! The Polaris selection of Sportsman ATVs allows you to have the power and performance of a larger vehicle while being small enough to enjoy off-roading at high speeds.

Polaris ATVs in the Performance/Utility category are a great option for a double duty vehicle. All three models of Polaris Sportsman ATVs have a 1500 lb towing capacity, and a 360 lb rack capacity – allowing you to take care of many jobs around the farm. You’ll have no lack of power with the Sportsman 850, and 850 SP’s 78 horsepower engines, and the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000’s 88 horsepower engine.

That’s not to say that there’s no room for fun on the Polaris ATVs. All models are customizable, allowing multiple accessories to be added which are helpful for snow, hunting, trailblazing, and other recreational uses. Each even has a cooler add-on that can be chosen when ordering your ATV – allowing you to bring along snacks and drinks for your longer four-wheeling trips!

The Polaris ATVs are built for comfort – so your longer journeys will be more enjoyable. Because the engine is turned sideways – the Polaris Sportsman ATVs allow for a narrow seat and larger floorboards. You’re riding an ATV and not a horse for a reason! This configuration also allows the areas where the knees and ankles hit to be narrower, allowing for more natural posture and seating position.

ATVs raise safety concerns for many people these days. You’ll be happy to hear that all of the Polaris Sportsman ATV models come standard with an Engine Braking System that allows the engine to assist in braking on steep descents – allowing for a smooth downhill ride. The Polaris Sportsman 850 SP and the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 also employ Active Descent Control which allows for increased control during descents. These systems along with an automatic AWD mechanism that kicks in when your tires slip – allow for a safer and more controllable experience while using your Polaris ATV for recreational purposes.

With an 11.5” ground clearance – these vehicles are great for almost any terrain you’d like to explore. Whether you’re working on the family farm, exploring the Ozarks around Springfield, Missouri, or taking a longer trip to Marseilles, IL (where one of the Travel Channel’s top 10 spots for four-wheeling in America lies) – your vehicle will have plenty of space to maneuver the terrain!
